Planning: Storyboard

 







This is the storyboard for our opening sequence. Nothing is quite set in stone yet, but this is the foundation I will work off of to plan out and strategize the production of our opening sequence.

Scene 1: alarm clock beeps
Scene 2: compilation of cast getting ready
Scene 3: breakfast being made on stove
Scene 4: On phone confirming field trip while eating breakfast
Scene 5: Characters dress up and get ready
Scene 6: All the characters pull into driveway of house
Scene7: looking out of window cause of a bad storm
Scene8: packing their bags
Scene9: loading bags in trunk
Scene10: them enjoying themselves in the car listening to music
Scene11: parked in the middle of the woods 
Scene12: setting up a campsite
Scene13: Storm starts getting very close
Scene14: Leaves and fire start flying around, fire is almost put out
Scene15: Thunder and lightning crash and Carlos Eddie and Milana get spooked.
Scene16: Run into tents
Scene17: They wait out the storm
Scene18: They hear a loud yelp and get startled
Scene19: mauled animal with a blood trail
Scene20: they all look very scared
Scene21: them trying to figure out what's going on
Scene22: they found something really scary 
Scene23: about to show what they found but the scene cuts off
Scene24: black screen

Production Blog: Selecting Music for our Opening Sequence

Hey bloggers welcome back and today I will be choosing the music for our thriller opening sequence. This is particularly challenging for me because there's 2 different kinds of music that will be in our opening sequence. In our opening sequence we would have to effectively bridge together these two different types of music. This transition also has to be smooth in order to avoid distraction from the scenes themselves. The two types of music are the happy upbeat familiar music played in a car, teenage music. The other type of music used will be creepy, foreboding, and suspenseful in order to evoke as much emotion in the audience as possible. Due to these types of music being so diverse and different it makes it even more challenging to effectively transition these songs. I've been relooking at the Final Destination opening sequence to see what they did with their music but their music stays relatively similar the entire time.
