Reflection

Hey bloggers I published my commercial and I felt pretty satisfied with the work I've done. This was one of the first times I have ever worked with a video editing software. I learned to use various technologies and websites that I had known about, but never really learned how to use. I uploaded my first ever YouTube video for this project. I learned to use Cap Cut which took a lot of practice but felt incredibly rewarding once I had gotten the project to work. I also had transferred videos and files from my phone to my computer for the first time, which I feel will come in handy for upcoming projects. One of the last and most important things I learned how to do was embed videos, all my life I had just been putting links everywhere and embedding is just much simpler and can make a website or project look much more professional. During the creation of this commercial I also felt more informed about the composition and art of creating a project. It takes careful consideration and p

Hey bloggers I'm back for another bi-weekly update on how things are running. I haven't done too much to my commercial to drastically change it. One thing I have done however is fixing the storage problem occurring with my phone. It took a few hours but after taking it to my provider they helped clear out most of my storage. With this I can now work freely on my commercial without any worries which should improve the quality of my commercial and increase the speed I can get it produced. I've been somewhat procrastinating putting my commercial together for a few days as I had a creative block that I couldn't get over. But today I started rewatching the Cars movie from 2006. I was watching the movie in 2 times speed just looking for a clip that I feel like represented me and my childhood. I was very split between various different clips of the movie and found myself trying to choose a clip for about 30 minutes. There were various clips in different sceneries that I just

Hey bloggers I'm back and I've made a few revisions to my commercial. Over these past days I've been working on my commercial, but I would be lying if I said everything was going completely smooth. Its been an emotional battle with Capcut, my phone, and the school internet while trying to work on this commercial. To start with one of these issues is that my memory on my phone is far too crowded for me to delete anything and sometimes I'm not even able to open my video as an insufficient storage screen will come up. On top of this hindering the efficiency of my work, in class the internet can get so crowded that I'm unable to open both Capcut and my gallery effectively destroying my ability to work on this commercial during class. The last of my issues is my unfamiliarity with Capcut still. I spent a little more time than I'd like to admit trying to crop a photo to fit on my commercial. I also would accidentally press random buttons that would take me to a membe

Hey bloggers in regard to my commercial I have been working with a group of friends to try and brainstorm ideas and help open our minds. This has really helped the production of my commercial as a lot of information is being spread out amongst us ranging from the insertion of clips to the usage of different transitions. Specifically, the creation of my introduction and using opacity and other various features. I aim to make this intro to create a beginning that I can work with to help ease my way into the "meat" of my commercial. To make my intro segment I planned on using a funny video clip of me and my friends. I did this so that the audience could get a feel for what they were about to watch and a feel for my personality. I wanted to add emotion and life to my commercial and I needed an eye-catching clip/hook. The clip I'm using is a clip my friend filmed a few months back at a restaurant in Hollywood Beach. The video consists of me punching an arcade game and checkin

Hey bloggers today I had to get started using the media I mentioned in my previous blog. I had to download an editing software called Cap Cut to help attach all my pictures, videos and songs. I gave the app access to my camera and gallery. I spent the day scrolling through the website and seeing what features it had and ones that I could possibly use. A lot of the templates were filled with cringy TikTok trends and random videos of others. I was practicing using transitions to jump from photo to photo. Most of the transitions were far too flashy and obnoxious. I went over the songs I chose to make sure they weren't explicit. I also double checked the pictures and videos I was going to be using to make sure I still had them saved and that they would somewhat link together during my commercial. The first step I needed to take however was clearing out storage on my iphone to create a project on Cap Cut which took about 20 minutes. After this I continued to experiment with the various

In today's blog I will be talking about what steps I am taking to complete my commercial. My commercial will be composed of a variety of different pictures, songs, and videos about myself and  my values. One picture I will be using during my commercial will be one of my old soccer team with me after winning a tournament. This was a big part of my life and helped develop my love for soccer and sharing it with others. Another picture I will be using is a picture of my beloved dog Angie, this is because she has been my companion for the greater portion of my life and means so much to me. The last picture I will be using is one of a landscape or beautiful sky. I would pick a picture like this as I frequently take pictures of what's around me if it is visually pleasing and it a nice and relaxing hobby I have. The last picture I will be using is one of my favorite destinations in the world which is Machu Picchu. This was one of the highest points I've ever been at literally and
