Hey bloggers as you may already know I've been getting equipment ready to begin filming for my music video. Finally, as a group we have started filming and as of today we only have one day of filming left before we are finished and have the clips necessary to begin editing. We filmed at Constanza's house using various actors, props and costumes to get the video to look as natural as possible. I sed a white button up shirt and dress pants to make myself look more mature. This is because in our music video I have to play the role of the father of the girl. At first we spent a few minutes at first figuring out how to get Constanza's dog to cooperate with the camera to closely match the story board. The dog was very energetic and it took us about 4 or 5 different takes to finally solve the issue. We filmed near a lake and I walked down the neighborhood with the dog and my "daughter". For the past week the group has been researching various thriller movies, the movie we're researching at the moment is the Boogeyman. The boogeyman was a very traditional and recent thriller movie using various conventions to thoroughly spook audiences and keep them drawn in. The boogey man utilizes loads of close-up shots on the actors faces to emphasize their acting and draws out fear and suspense in the audience. The boogeyman also uses phenomenal music which had me hiding under the covers. The music was sharp and intense, but also immensely ominous. Lastly the boogeyman used various costumes and props to immerse the audience. The conventions of this movie that I enjoyed was the intricate use of music, settings and camera angles. The music in this movie captivated the essence of horror and left me terrified while I was watching and made the movie tremendously interesting to watch. The participants in our film will be: Enzo Prieto Joao Nunes Constanza Cirgliano Nick Zilberstajen Location: Some of us live at great distances from each other making it slightly challenging to find a point to collectively meet and film. But we decided to use a local state park Oleta state park. For the scenes in the car we decided to use some of our school friends' cars and to use roads near patches of woods to add the immersion in the opening sequence. The scenes in the driveway could take place either at Joao's or Constanza's residence. Schedule: By 2/20 we will film our scenes in the driveway which should take no more than one day. By 2/27 we will film our on the road scenes which should also take no more than one day.
