Production Blog

Hey bloggers in regard to my commercial I have been working with a group of friends to try and brainstorm ideas and help open our minds. This has really helped the production of my commercial as a lot of information is being spread out amongst us ranging from the insertion of clips to the usage of different transitions. Specifically, the creation of my introduction and using opacity and other various features. I aim to make this intro to create a beginning that I can work with to help ease my way into the "meat" of my commercial. To make my intro segment I planned on using a funny video clip of me and my friends. I did this so that the audience could get a feel for what they were about to watch and a feel for my personality. I wanted to add emotion and life to my commercial and I needed an eye-catching clip/hook. The clip I'm using is a clip my friend filmed a few months back at a restaurant in Hollywood Beach. The video consists of me punching an arcade game and checking my score. I planned on putting some music over the intro but I am still unsure if I should use one of the 3 songs I picked or if I should choose something more fitting for an intro to my commercial. To make my intro more impactive and emotional I made sure to put some emphasis on my title. I did this by adding exclamation marks and making the font very visible and unique. I also added all 5 photos to my commercial and arranged them in a specific order that I felt meshed with my commercial the most. For the mean time I wanted to focus on getting a blueprint for my commercial done and then get the design portion of my commercial done later. I then added my 3 videos after my photos. To add the songs I chose, I began screen recording the songs on YouTube so I could export them onto cap cut. This was a very tedious process, and I spent a lot of time trimming the audios and trimming the videos so that it would make sense. In a few days I plan to spend more time focusing on the design of my commercial and the aesthetic I'm going for. I plan to incorporate unique transitions for every slide I choose to match the photo or video presented. Alright bloggers that will be all for today thanks for reading and have a great day!
