Production Blog

Hey bloggers today I had to get started using the media I mentioned in my previous blog. I had to download an editing software called Cap Cut to help attach all my pictures, videos and songs. I gave the app access to my camera and gallery. I spent the day scrolling through the website and seeing what features it had and ones that I could possibly use. A lot of the templates were filled with cringy TikTok trends and random videos of others. I was practicing using transitions to jump from photo to photo. Most of the transitions were far too flashy and obnoxious. I went over the songs I chose to make sure they weren't explicit. I also double checked the pictures and videos I was going to be using to make sure I still had them saved and that they would somewhat link together during my commercial. The first step I needed to take however was clearing out storage on my iphone to create a project on Cap Cut which took about 20 minutes. After this I continued to experiment with the various features on the app including the insertion of songs and saved videos. I also experimented with various A.I features and different text to speech voices to narrate my commercial. During this time I also spent a bit of time researching other possible video editing software's accessible on cell phones. I stumbled across Adobe premiere and Luma Fusion. I briefly glanced at their interfaces and pressed a few buttons and finally decided that Cap Cut would be the simplest and most efficient app to use. After this I spent the remainder of my time continuing to fiddle with different templates seeing which was the most presentable and professional. Later on I opened the software again and tried using image enhancers to visually improve some of my pictures from my childhood that were of lesser quality. I retouched some of my older pictures of Machu Pichu and some pictures of my old soccer team various years back. I then started to consider the length of my videos and what exact video I should use as I had various different videos of important events throughout my childhood that I mentioned in the research blog. I filtered them out to about 10 different videos in which I would eventually have to pick 2-3 from. Lastly I considered which of the Cars movies I was going to take a clip from and I chose the first cars as it had the most nostalgia to me and felt that it best represented me. I was planning on choosing a scene with Doc Hudson as it reminded me of my father. Thats all bloggers hope you have a fantastic day!
